Looking for the perfect appetizer for your next party? Look no further than this lemon rosemary hummus recipe. This recipe is full of fresh ingredients and sure to please!
It only takes one glance at the Trader Joe’s dip section to notice we’ve collectively become obsessed with hummus. I’ve seen everything from buffalo chicken to dill pickle flavored hummus line the shelves on my weekly shopping trips. While I am a huge hummus fan and firm believer that too much of a good thing can never be a bad thing, I’ll admit it can be overwhelming at times to find the right one to bring home.
My mom has been making homemade hummus for years. She even sent me off to my senior year of college with a food processor so I could start making my own as well. While I don’t think that food processor got used even once during my senior year, I finally took her advice and started experimenting with my own hummus recipe a few years ago.
One of the best parts of making a recipe for yourself is the ability to customize it to your taste. Like Trader Joe’s, I’ve found it to be enjoyable to play around with my own flavor combinations. I also have a recipe for a chocolate hummus that makes an amazing dessert! If you’d like to see that recipe, please leave a comment below.
A fresh batch of home-made hummus has an airy almost cool-whip type texture. I think the store-bought versions lose this over time sitting on a shelf. If you too are a hummus fan who finds themself constantly pursuing the dip section at the local grocery store and are even slightly intrigued, I encourage you to try making this lemon rosemary hummus!
