Recipe Tips
Answering any questions you may have about this healthy and delicious kale pineapple smoothie. If you don’t see the answer to your question below feel free to leave a comment!
Adding additional sweeteners
If this smoothie isn’t sweet enough for you, there are a couple of ways to fix that. You could use a full banana instead of half a banana, add more pineapple, or you could add 1 to 3 teaspoons of honey. If you add extra banana or pineapple be aware that this will change the consistency of the smoothie and may require you to add more almond milk.
Replacing kale with spinach
If you’re not a fan of kale or don’t have any on hand you can replace the kale in this smoothie with spinach. This will alter the taste slightly, but will still keep the smoothie as a “green smoothie”. Additionally, you could do a blend of kale and spinach if you’d like to use both.
Adding additional fruit
If you’d like to alter the fruits in this smoothie, you could make this smoothie with berries instead of pineapple or add in a fresh-cut apple. Feel free to experiment! The color of the smoothie may change slightly if you’re adding in red or blueberries, but the flavor will still be delicious. I’m a big fan of adding variety into your diet as much as possible. If you’re making this smoothie recipe for multiple weeks in a row it might be a good idea to make a few swaps.
